This unique moth (Spiris striata) boasts a wingspan of 30–35 millimetres (1.2–1.4 in). Males typically have yellow or light yellow forewings adorned with thin dark brown stripes, while females may lack these stripes or have them only on the outer portions. The hindwings are also yellow, but they are wider and darker than the forewings, featuring a striking dark brown border. Native to Europe, Anatolia, Kazakhstan, Siberia, and Mongolia, this species is truly a sight to behold.
